Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking an Inspections Technician to independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler, fire alarm, and fire extinguisher systems. You will ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes while documenting findings.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in fire and life safety, a high school diploma, NICET I or higher preferred, and a clean driving record. This role involves travel to job sites and mentoring junior technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and inspection procedures.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler, fire alarms, and fire extinguishers systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Complete required documentation and inspection reports accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Travel to job sites as required.

This position requires demonstrated technical competency and the ability to complete standard jobs without direct supervision.
