Job summary

Century Fire Protection is seeking a skilled pipefitter to layout, fabricate, assemble, install and maintain piping and sprinkler systems for commercial projects in the Houston area. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 3–5 years of related experience.

Overtime may be required; pre-employment drug screen and clean MVR are part of the process. Basic computer skills and the ability to collaborate with designers are essential to success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including email.

Responsibilities

• Install pipe fittings, hangers, couplings, and sprinklers per design plan and codes.
• Complete required weekly paperwork for CFP and for the job as directed by the General Contractor.
• Communicate with designer before making design changes.
• Produce red-line drawings for designer submission.
• Report project status and schedule changes to Field Superintendent and Project Manager.
• Attend project and coordination meetings as required.
• Submit daily progress reports to Field Superintendent and General Contractor.
• Document and report water damage, injuries, or accidents immediately.
• Train fitters and helpers on proper installation techniques.
