Job summary

Ironsmith Fire, LLC is seeking an experienced fire sprinkler foreman to lead field crews on installation projects in Houston, TX. The role requires reading blueprints, enforcing safety standards, and coordinating with inspectors, vendors, and subcontractors.

Daily site visits, travel to customer locations, and overnight stays are expected as projects demand. You will mentor journeymen and apprentices while delivering high-quality workmanship in line with our “OLD SCHOOL GRIT, NEW AGE EDGE” ethos.

Qualifications

• Experience as a fire sprinkler fitter in field operations.
• Ability to read blueprints and communicate with contractors.
• Strong leadership and communication to motivate teams.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards and local codes relevant to fire sprinkler systems.
• Willingness to travel including overnight stays.
• Attention to detail and thorough documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, or repair fire sprinkler systems per approved shop drawings and codes.
• Lead field crews and mentor apprentices.
• Inspect sites daily to enforce quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with vendors, inspectors, and city officials.
• Provide progress reports and change orders as needed.
• Maintain organization and readiness of tools and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
• Support day-to-day operations and adapt to project needs.
