Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire/Sprinkler Helper to provide field support for fire alarm and sprinkler inspection and service activities. You will work with inspectors and service technicians to assist with jobsite setup, material handling, and safe, efficient execution of Fire service work at customer locations.

Responsibilities include travel to sites, maintaining safe work areas, and supporting continuous safety training and policy compliance across the Fire team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work in a field-based environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn inspection and service support activities.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move tools, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to work safely in accordance with all applicable safety requirements.
• Valid driver’s license may be required based on business needs and job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support fire alarm and sprinkler inspectors and service technicians with daily field operations.
• Assist with jobsite setup and cleanup, including staging tools, materials, and equipment.
• Handle materials, parts, and equipment needed to support inspection and service work.
• Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas in accordance with company safety expectations.
• Travel to customer sites as assigned and assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials and tools.
• Follow direction from experienced field personnel and complete assigned support tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain professional conduct and positive customer interaction while representing Johnson Controls at customer sites.
• Support compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and required training.
• Assist in maintaining company vehicles, tools, and equipment in good working condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of Fire service operations.
