Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a sprinkler designer to design and develop sprinkler systems, read architectural/MEP drawings, and verify hydraulic calculations. You will collaborate with engineers and technicians to create 3D models and testing structures, while staying current with materials and software developments.

Requirements include a minimum 2-year degree (preferred), 2+ years CAD experience, and strong attention to detail with an ability to think in 3D.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year degree in related field (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree or certifications (preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience utilizing CAD software.
• At least 2 years of experience utilizing Blue Beam.

Responsibilities

• Follow OSHA standards and laws.
• Attend regular development meetings and coordinate with engineers/technicians.
• Design and modify sprinkler system CAD drawings and 3D models.
• Analyze hydraulic calculations to ensure adequate water delivery during fires.
