Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in fire protection and building systems, is seeking a Sprinkler Helper to join its apprenticeship program. You will assist the Lead Fire Sprinkler Fitter with testing, service, and repairs on sprinkler and suppression life safety product lines, gaining hands-on experience in a safety-focused, structured environment.

This apprenticeship emphasizes learning the technical foundations of fire protection, proper documentation, safety, and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
• Ability to use hand tools.
• Understanding of quality service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Fire Sprinkler Fitter with service, maintenance, and repairs on sprinkler and suppression life safety product lines.
• Support testing and troubleshooting activities for fire sprinkler systems.
• Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and use manuals to diagnose and repair equipment and systems.
• Complete inspection reports and repair documents with proper coding using a smartphone, laptop, or hard copy documentation.
• Follow a structured service schedule and complete assigned work in an organized manner.
• Perform duties with safety in mind at all times.
