Job summary

Summit Fire & Security in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice to assist in laying out, fabricating, installing and maintaining piping systems. You will learn under Sprinkler Technician Journeymen and develop mechanical skills through hands-on training.

Required are a HS Diploma or equivalent and the ability to enroll and obtain a current Fire Sprinkler License, plus basic math and strong reading/writing in English.

Qualifications

• Mechanical ability and basic hand tool knowledge.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints or plans.
• Ability to perform basic math and planning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sprinkler Technicians in installing pipe systems and valves.
• Learn to follow blueprints and calculate material measurements.
• Learn proper installation techniques and equipment maintenance.
• Other duties may be assigned.
