Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice in Seattle to assist in laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems for fire protection equipment.

The ideal candidate is coachable, mechanically inclined, and able to work under the supervision of Sprinkler Technician Journeymen; this role involves learning to read blueprints, calculate material measurements, and perform installation tasks with safety compliance.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to enroll and obtain a current Fire Sprinkler License.
• Mechanical ability and basic hand tool knowledge are required.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist and learn under Sprinkler Technician Journeymen in installing pipe systems and valves.
• Cut, thread, assemble and bond pipes according to specifications.
• Modify, clean and maintain pipe systems, units and fittings.
• Learn proper installation techniques and follow blueprints.
