Job summary

Summit Fire & Security in West Monroe, LA is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice to assist in laying out, fabricating, installing and maintaining piping systems and related equipment. You will learn under Sprinkler Technician Journeymen to follow blueprints, calculate material measurements and learn proper installation techniques.

The role requires a HS diploma, willingness to enroll for a Fire Sprinkler License, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read English.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Must enroll and obtain current Fire Sprinkler License.
• Mechanical ability and basic hand tool knowledge.
• Read blueprints and follow specifications in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installing, fabricating and maintaining piping systems and fixtures.
• Learn from Journeymen to install pipes, valves and bond components.
• Follow blueprints and calculate material measurements.
• Learn proper installation techniques and assist with other duties.
