Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice to assist in laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems and fixtures. The ideal candidate is coachable, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn under Sprinkler Technician Journeymen.

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining pipe systems, following blueprints, and calculating material measurements.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Must be able to enroll and obtain current Fire Sprinkler License.
• Mechanical ability and basic hand tool knowledge.
• Ability to read/write in English.

Responsibilities

• Install pipe systems and valves.
• Cut, thread, assemble and bond pipes and tubes according to specifications.
• Modify, clean and maintain pipe systems, units and fittings.
• Remove and replace worn components.
• Follow blueprints to meet product specifications.
• Calculate material measurements to verify specifications.
• Learn proper installation techniques.
• Other duties may be assigned.
