Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Sprinkler/Alarm Inspector to ensure reliability of fire protection systems across facilities. You will perform inspections, tests, and documentation to verify proper operation, adhering to NFPA codes and local regulations.

Responsibilities include communicating with clients, coordinating with internal teams, and maintaining accurate records. Candidates need 2 years in fire protection inspection; NICET/NFPA certification preferred. Competitive hourly range offered.

Qualifications

• 2 years of fire protection inspection experience.
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical documents related to fire protection systems.
• Strong understanding of NFPA codes and standards (NFPA 25/72).
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Effective verbal and written communication with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and testing of fire sprinkler/alarm systems according to NFPA codes and local regulations.
• Conduct functional tests of sprinkler control valves, systems, and equipment.
• Inspect piping, fittings, and connections for corrosion, leaks or damage; recommend repairs.
• Document inspection findings with deficiencies and corrective actions.
• Communicate with clients, providing technical guidance and addressing questions.
