Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a qualified Field Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, service and preventative maintenance on Electrical, Sprinkler or Suppression life safety product lines for customers in diverse industries.

Responsibilities include testing fire alarm systems, documenting work, handling low voltage wiring, and following a structured inspection schedule while maintaining safety and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Experience with testing and inspecting fire alarm equipment.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and communication abilities.
• Physically able to perform labor and lift up to 70 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent; NICET I within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect fire alarm systems for customers.
• Maintain documentation using provided tools and mobile devices.
• Work with low voltage wiring and related devices.
• Perform minor repairs and programming changes.
• Follow a structured inspection schedule and safety policies.
• Carry/move equipment up to 70 lbs and work in challenging positions.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team.
