Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a sworn firefighter and pass NFPA 1583 medical screening.

Responsibilities

• Command emergency operations, lead fire scenes, direct tactics, assign crew tasks, and make rapid safety decisions.
• Oversee station and personnel operations, schedule crew, supervise equipment maintenance, and run regular drills.
• Coordinate pre-fire plans, public education, fire investigations, and other technical duties as assigned by the Fire Chief.
• Monitor firefighter performance, provide feedback, address disciplinary issues, and document responses; coordinate with law enforcement and EMS.
• Work a 48-hour on / 96-hour off rotating schedule and be prepared for irregular hours and travel as needed.
