  • Five years in a career fire department as an acting company officer
  • State Fire Officer II within six months of selection
  • Active enrollment in an Associates Degree program within 24 months

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and directs fire shift personnel and firefighting duties.
  • Responds to emergencies and directs incident command until relieved.
  • Maintains equipment readiness and staff performance.
  • Completes evaluations and develops performance improvement plans.
  • Leads drills, trainings, and public safety education sessions.
