Qualifications

• Paramedic duties require EMT-P license prior to offer or reassignment.
• Non-paramedic and paramedic positions are included in this classification.
• Experience in supervising crews during wildfire, structural, or other emergencies is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plans and assigns work for engine companies and hand crews engaged in fighting fires and other emergencies.
• Trains a company to fight fire and operate tools; inspects and maintains equipment.
• Performs dispatching of resources and may serve as fire information officer.
• Supervises and performs prevention education programs and fire prevention activities.
