What you'll do:
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with fire alarm systems, ensuring their smooth operation.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to identify and address potential problems before they escalate.
  • Complete small project installations, including upgrading or replacing fire alarm equipment to maintain optimal system performance.
  • Analyze work orders, plan your daily schedule, and communicate effectively with customers to understand their concerns.
  • Conduct tests, troubleshoot fire alarm system issues, and determine the best solutions to resolve them efficiently.
  • Accurately track your work by updating service tickets with billable time and materials.
To be successful, you'll need:
  • 5+ years of experience in fire life safety troubleshooting, service, and support.
  • Possess a valid EST-3 certification (or be able to obtain it within one year).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid California Driver License (or ability to obtain one) and proof of auto insurance.
  • Availability to work weekends, nights, split shifts, and rotating shifts if needed.
  • Ability to obtain required vaccinations/immunizations.
Work Environment:
  • Variety of work locations including construction sites, commercial buildings, high-rise/mid-rise buildings, and medical facilities (with potential patient contact).
  • Occasional work at heights, in extreme temperatures, and confined spaces.
  • Physical activities such as driving, walking, bending, stooping, lifting equipment (up to 20 lbs), and prolonged standing or sitting.
