Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Electronic Systems Service Technician to perform commissioning and service on fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion, and intercom systems at customer sites. You will supervise installations, diagnose equipment issues, and communicate effectively with customers to restore systems quickly.

Applicants should have 2–5 years in this field, strong electronics knowledge, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school/trade school graduate or military experience, or a two-year Associate degree in electronics or computers.
• Experience with installation and service of fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion and intercom systems.
• CCURE 9000, NICET, and DCJS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and new installation commissioning on fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion and intercom systems.
• Supervise installation to meet customer expectations and manufacturer specs; coordinate field activities and train on new systems.
• Diagnose equipment, troubleshoot wiring issues, and provide cost-effective restoration solutions.
• Manage field labor hours and respond to customer requests with clear communication.
• Read complex blueprints, diagrams and manuals; adhere to safety policies; complete mileage and vehicle reports.
