Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Fire and Security Service Technician in Windsor Mill, MD to independently service and maintain Fire Alarms, intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and other low-voltage systems.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years' experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read blueprints and technical manuals. Excellent pay and comprehensive benefits are offered with opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in commercial fire and security systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong working knowledge of fire alarms, intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and low-voltage systems.
• Ability to work independently and complete standard service jobs without direct supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and system drawings.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of fire alarms and security systems.
• Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.
• Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with codes and customer requirements.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on security and low-voltage systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, layouts, and manuals.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete service work safely and efficiently.
• Complete service documentation, inspection reports, and work orders accurately and on time.
• Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors.
