We are hiring an experienced and reliable Fire Security Officer for an overnight shift at an engineering facility focused on engines and powertrain systems. This is a long-term opportunity for someone with a security background who takes initiative and can work independently. The role involves minimal building patrols and is primarily focused on fire prevention and inspection duties.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct scheduled fire inspections throughout the facility, including checks on doors, valves, pumps, and fire extinguishers.
2. Monitor fire detection and suppression systems, including alarms and control panels.
3. Respond to fire alarms and initiate appropriate emergency protocols.
4. Ensure all fire safety equipment is in proper working order and report deficiencies.
5. Complete required documentation for all inspections, incidents, and nightly activity.
6. Perform light patrols to check for safety hazards and unauthorized access.
7. Work independently and stay on task without direct supervision.
8. Support evacuation and emergency procedures when necessary.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Prior experience in security or fire watch is required.
3. Strong understanding of fire prevention systems and use of fire extinguishers.
4. Self-motivated with the ability to stay productive during quiet shifts.
5. Dependable and interested in long-term employment.
6. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
7. Ability to walk, stand, and perform light physical tasks throughout the shift.
8. Experience in an industrial engineering setting with mechanical and testing equipment.
9. Work indoors and outdoors; moderate exposure to noise and machinery.
