Job summary

EDF Energy is seeking a Fire Safety Lead at Bridgwater to safeguard people and assets across a major infrastructure project. You will lead a dedicated fire safety team, shape safety arrangements, and collaborate with regulators and contractors to ensure compliance and readiness for commissioning.

• Minimum Level 4 Fire Safety qualification with an approved professional body such as the Institute of Fire Engineers
• Experience leading fire safety management in complex construction, process or nuclear environments
• Proven expertise implementing Fire Safety Management Systems on nuclear licensed sites

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and assurance of the Fire Safety Management Plan
• Manage and support a team of fire safety professionals
• Provide expert fire safety advice across construction, commissioning and pre-operations
• Oversee fire and DSEAR risk assessments and compliance activities
• Engage contractors, regulators and internal teams to strengthen fire safety performance
