Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore 5399 - Hoquiam is seeking a Fire Restoration Technician to monitor, inspect and complete drying, demolition, and pack-out of contents on restoration jobs, with documentation for insurance reimbursement.

Responsibilities include loading equipment, explaining work to customers, performing fire/smoke repair, and maintaining safety. Must have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, good communication skills, and the ability to work in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of disaster restoration industry preferred.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience entering data on a tablet or mobile device.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve work orders and ensure required equipment and supplies are loaded for the job site.
• Explain processes and next steps to customers using printed materials.
• Complete jobs with quality control and urgency.
• Perform fire/smoke damage repair, water extraction, pack-out, and light construction as directed.
• Ensure equipment, supplies, vehicles and products are properly handled; report malfunctions.
• Inspect completed jobs, obtain customer signatures, and request payments as needed.
• Adjust the drying plan daily based on meter readings.
• Resolve customer issues and communicate with supervisor and staff.
• Prepare documentation and photos to secure insurance reimbursement.
