Job summary

UL Solutions in Northbrook, IL is seeking a Senior Regional Operations leader to drive strategy, manage a regional P&L, and lead a high‑performing team. This hybrid role requires three days per week onsite in Northbrook and focuses on growth, efficiency, and customer value across the region.

The role emphasizes financial stewardship, partnership with Sales/BD, and adherence to UL's safety and conduct standards while delivering operational excellence and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or similar.
• 8+ years of TIC or fire resistance and containment products industry experience.
• Strong leadership experience. Experience managing leaders preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse groups within the company and customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to coach and mentor.
• Demonstrated business and financial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Develops, executes, and implements operational strategy for the region to drive growth.
• Organic/inorganic growth and profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction through market intelligence.
• Responsible for P&L activities; manages budgets and forecasts. Reports on targets and growth.
• Monitors revenue from engineering activities; balances demand and throughput.
• Leads initiatives to identify new business opportunities and builds partnerships with Sales and BD.
• Oversees project status, delivery, and resource allocation to fulfill projects.
• Drives a high-performing team and develops leaders within the function.
• Supports change and cross-functional collaboration across UL's matrix structure.
• Adheres to UL Code of Conduct and security practices.
