Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking a Fire Protection Technician to perform inspection, testing, repairs, and service calls for fire protection systems, including alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers and emergency lighting.

NFPA knowledge and relevant certifications are required. The role involves teamwork within a larger Facility Maintenance group, meeting deadlines, communicating with management, and providing timely follow-up with customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational or trade school is a plus.
• NFPA knowledge as per the listed standards (NFPA 25 2023; NFPA 20, 72, 291 2022).
• NICET Level II Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems required.
• Backflow Test and Repair Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect facility fire safety systems as part of preventive maintenance.
• Write inspection/service reports and indicate deficiencies or needed corrections.
• Assist in testing and maintaining light repairs on the fire sprinkler system.
