Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking an Inspector Trainee to perform NFPA-based inspections of water-based fire protection systems, fire alarms, and extinguishers. Travel to customer sites is required and you will work in a fast-paced environment focused on quality and safety.

You will learn NFPA 25, NFPA 72, NFPA 10 inspection procedures, lift operations up to 30-40 feet, and how to document inspections and tickets. A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational/trade school considered a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to obtain NICET certification.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform NFPA-based inspections of water-based fire protection systems, fire alarm systems, and extinguishers.
• Learn NFPA 25, NFPA 72, NFPA 10 inspection procedures.
• Travel to customer sites to conduct inspections and support customers.
• Complete and submit all work tickets and inspection reports in a timely manner.
• Learn to self-schedule daily inspections and up-sell company capabilities.
• Pass OSHA certification to perform inspections from personnel lifts up to 30–40 feet.
• Learn to perform annual inspections on domestic and fire backflows.
