Job summary

Encore Fire Protection, the east coast's largest full-service fire protection company, is seeking a Sprinkler Service Technician. You will inspect, test, service, and troubleshoot wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge systems, with a focus on reliability, code compliance, and clear communication.

This is a field-based role with planned service, repairs, and occasional emergency calls. You will work with contractors and internal teams, document findings, and participate in on-call rotations while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with technical or industry experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, components, and common tools used to service them.
• Familiarity with NFPA codes and general fire protection standards.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and system drawings.
• Strong communication and documentation skills for use with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights of 30 feet or more.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within your assigned territory.
• Experience operating lifts and an understanding of OSHA safety practices.
• Professional, team-oriented mindset and a consistent focus on doing the job safely and correctly.

Responsibilities

• Service, test, inspect, and troubleshoot both basic and complex fire sprinkler systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
• Look for issues where systems are not working properly or not meeting current code requirements and recommend what needs to be fixed or upgraded.
• Work with contractors, building maintenance staff, and internal office teams to schedule and complete service calls.
• Document what you find, what you recommend, and what you repair, in line with company expectations and NFPA standards.
• Take part in on-call rotations and respond to emergency service requests when needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and represent Encore in a professional way on every job site.
