Job summary

TP Mechanical is seeking a Project Manager to oversee major commercial fire sprinkler projects in Columbus, OH. You will drive profitability, coordinate with field crews and engineering, and ensure timely completion of all contract requirements.

The role requires 3+ years of project management experience in fire sprinkler installations and a background in interpreting blueprints; a license is preferred. On-site work with occasional site visits and coordination with general contractors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• Fire Sprinkler/Standpipe license is required/preferred.
• 5 years commercial Fire Sprinkler field experience preferred; minimum 3 years of project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee profitability of projects and ensure timely milestones, billing, and change orders.
• Review job cost, status, manpower and change orders; conduct monthly profitability reviews.
• Communicate with project superintendents, PMs, and other departments through meetings and reports.
• Coordinate manpower and equipment for each job.
• Oversee buyout, job-closeouts and project change orders.
• Conduct weekly job-site visits and meetings.
• Ensure proper job setup, contract review, estimated costs and schedule of values.
• Generate PM reports and attend management meetings.
• Track submittals, generate purchase orders and negotiate subcontracts and purchases.
• All other duties as assigned.
