Qualifications

• BS in Fire Protection or Mechanical Engineering with at least 6 years of experience.
• Must be professionally licensed in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and design systems per policies, standards, procedures, code with minimal supervision.
• Apply practical knowledge to resolve project issues and make independent engineering decisions.
• Occasionally supervise subordinate personnel or assist other engineers or designers.
• Review designs with other disciplines for coordination and final design selection.
• Meet with Project Engineer/Manager to discuss scope, schedule, budget, and site issues.
• Prepare design budgets and schedules; estimate discipline man-hours required.
• Provide leadership and assign design tasks to designers; ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Develop construction documents matching client requirements and project team standards.
