Job summary

Cuhaci & Peterson Architects, Engineers & Planners is seeking a licensed Fire Protection/Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of six years of experience to lead design and calculations for multidisciplinary projects in the Orlando area.

Primary responsibilities include coordinating with project leadership, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring design compliance with codes and client requirements. This on-site role requires strong communication skills and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 6 years of work experience in the field.
• Must be professionally licensed in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and design systems per policies, standards, and codes.
• Provide leadership and mentor engineers and designers to meet schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with Project Engineer/Manager on scope, budgets, and phasing.
• Review designs with other disciplines for coordination and required approvals.
• Client contact and quality assurance in coordination with project leadership.
