Job summary

The Macomb Group in Lawrenceville, GA is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Fabrication Manager to lead our fabrication operations at our Lawrenceville facility. You will direct daily workflows, supervise fabricators and welders, ensure quality and safety, and drive projects from planning to completion.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience overseeing fabrication teams and operations.
• Coaching, performance feedback and training of fabricators, welders and machinists.
• Experience implementing and enforcing quality standards and conducting inspections.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety practices and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Experience in maintenance scheduling and coordinating repairs for shop machinery.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily fabrication operations, ensuring workflow efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to production schedules.
• Supervise fabricators, welders, machinists; provide coaching, performance feedback, and training.
• Implement and enforce quality standards; conduct inspections; resolve defects or non-conformities.
• Ensure OSHA compliance, maintain safe work environments, and lead safety audits or corrective actions.
• Oversee maintenance schedules, coordinate repairs and ensure machinery is operating at peak performance.
• Lead fabrication projects from planning through completion, ensuring timelines and specifications are met.
• Motivate, organize, and discipline staff.
• Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
• Use of Lift Truck to move materials.
• Other duties as assigned

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fire Protection Fabrication Manager to lead our fabrication operations at our Lawrenceville, GA facility. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a fast-paced and expanding operation, leading a skilled team while helping drive the continued growth and success of our Georgia fire protection business. • Direct daily fabrication operations, ensuring workflow efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to production schedules
• Supervise fabricators, welders, machinists; provide coaching, performance feedback, and training

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Regularly lift up to 50lbs
• Be able to walk, stand, or lift the entire shift
• Knowledge of Fire Protection is a plus
• Some years of related warehouse/fabrication experience

Monday - Friday, day shift
