Job summary

Clark Nexsen, a JMT Company, is seeking a Fire Protection Engineering Intern to join our team. The intern will support the assigned design department by assisting with a variety of tasks, including project design and documentation, to gain practical experience and support educational development.

Compensation is $22.00–$27.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and certifications. Immigration sponsorship is not available except TN visa eligibility.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office for documents and email.
• Able to produce clear, concise written materials.
• Detail-oriented with focus on accuracy and clarity.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with basic design tasks and research.
• Help prepare drawings and documents for programming, schematic design, and construction phases.
• Support site visits, RFI responses, and review of shop drawings.
• Follow quality control procedures and company standards.
• Develop basic design and technical skills through hands-on work.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, interior designers and other team members.
