Job summary

Clark Nexsen, a JMT Company, is seeking a Fire Protection Engineering Intern in the Washington, DC area to support the design department through research, drawings, and documentation tasks. The role offers practical experience and education development in a collaborative environment.

Compensation is $22.00–$27.00/hour, commensurate with experience and education. Immigration sponsorship is limited to TN visa eligibility.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with design and production software.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with basic design tasks and layouts.
• Help prepare drawings and documents for programming, schematic design, and construction phases.
• Assist with construction phase activities: site visits, RFI responses, shop drawings, record drawings.
