Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to design, analyze, and oversee fire protection systems for diverse Navy facilities. You will work on MILCON projects with architects and engineers to ensure proper integration and compliance.

Required are a engineering degree, US citizenship, a SECRET clearance, and hands-on design experience. The role includes travel and site visits with competitive benefits and a strong retirement program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SECRET Clearance.
• U.S. Citizen 18+ at time of hire; Selective Service compliance.
• Background check and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Perform design analysis and calculations for fire protection projects and prepare final working drawings, cost analyses, RFPs, and specifications.
• Utilize fire protection software for hydraulic calculations, fire/smoke modeling, and egress analysis.
• Collaborate with architects and multi-discipline teams on DB and DBB projects for system integration.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews and site visits to ensure life safety systems meet contract plans.
