Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to provide independent, timely, and professional structural engineering services for Navy and Marine Corps facilities, including MILCON projects and demolition, maintenance, and space planning.

You will perform design calculations, use hydraulic/fire modeling software, and collaborate with architects and multi-discipline teams on DB and DBB contracts, while ensuring life safety and code compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
• Secret clearance must be obtainable/maintained
• U.S. Citizenship and age 18+ at time of hire
• Selective Service registration or exemption
• Background check and fingerprinting

Responsibilities

• Perform design analysis and calculations for fire protection projects and prepare drawings, cost analyses, RFPs, and specs for diverse facilities.
• Utilize hydraulic calculations, fire/smoke modeling, and egress analysis software.
• Collaborate with architects and multi-discipline teams on DB and DBB projects for system integration.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews and site visits ensuring life safety and protection systems meet contract plans.
