Job summary

NAVFAC Pacific seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to perform design analysis, calculations, and prepare drawings, specifications, and RFPs for a variety of MILCON facilities such as housing, administration, hangars, and waterfront structures.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance. A background check and fingerprinting are part of the process. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain background check and fingerprinting; selective service compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform design analysis and calculations for fire protection projects; prepare drawings, RFPs, and project specifications.
• Utilize industry-standard fire protection software for hydraulic calculations, fire/smoke modeling, and egress analysis.
• Collaborate with architects and multidisciplinary teams on DB and DBB projects to ensure system integration.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews and site visits to ensure life safety and fire protection systems meet contract plans.
