Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
• PE license required or eligible.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience.
• Travel may be required depending on duties.

Responsibilities

• Develop fire protection designs including water supply, hydraulics, and sprinkler systems.
• Act as QFPE for federal projects with life safety and fire protection analysis.
• Ensure designs comply with NFPA/ UFC and local regulations; sign off.
• Create fire protection/life safety designs and evaluations as needed.
• Evaluate systems using HydraCAD/HydraCALC and similar tools.
• Review drafts for compliance with codes and firm policies.
• Collaborate with sales to respond to RFPs and proposals.
• Meet with clients to review current and future design needs.
• Perform site assessments to align with standards and local requirements.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and supervise project work.
