CDM Smith is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to design fire protection systems for federal and commercial projects, ensuring life safety and compliance.

This hybrid role offers collaboration across multiple US offices, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and contribute to client proposals. You will work on diverse projects to protect lives and property, and help advance resilient, sustainable environments.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Equivalent additional experience may substitute for a degree.
• Domestic/international travel may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Develop fire protection designs, including water supply analyses and sprinkler systems.
• Act as QFPE for federal projects with life safety and fire protection design.
• Review designs for compliance with NFPA, UFC and local regs.
• Collaborate with sales to prepare proposals and respond to RFPs.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and mentor engineers.
• Attend conferences to raise visibility of firm’s products.
