Job summary
Davenergy Solutions in San Diego, CA is seeking a qualified Fire Protection Engineer (FPE) to support VA and DoD healthcare facilities. You will perform FLS design reviews, field inspections, and final compliance certifications to ensure code-conforming, safe healthcare environments.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will review drawings, calculations, RFIs, and design documents, and travel to project sites as required. A PE license in Fire Protection, a bachelor’s degree, U.S.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Fire Protection or related field.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Minimum 5 years of fire protection engineering experience.
- Experience with VA TIL, UFC, NFPA, NFPA 101, IBC/IFC and related standards.
- Willingness to travel to project sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform independent peer reviews of FLS design documents.
- Review drawings and specifications for VA/DoD compliance.
- Conduct on-site field inspections during construction.
- Prepare compliance certifications and final design review letters.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and government representatives.
