Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a Project Handler/Reviewer type role in the Northbrook, IL area. You will determine project scope, plan investigations, and set specifications by analyzing client input and product construction.

Travel to client sites for tests may be required, and you will coordinate lab activities and prepare data sheets and reports. The position supports UL’s safety and standards work, with training provided for new entrants and opportunities to grow in project management and technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in civil, mechanical, fire protection engineering, or similar.
• Open to fresh graduates and candidates with experience.
• Approximately 0–2+ years of experience.
• Customer-facing experience is a plus.
• Training will be provided.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Determines project scope, develops a preliminary plan of investigation, and determines project specifications by analyzing client input, data, and product construction.
• Promotes and explains UL services to clients; may travel to client sites for tests.
• Communicates with clients to discuss technical issues, costs, and sample requirements.
• Coordinates laboratory activities by preparing data sheets, scheduling technicians, and establishing completion dates.
• Prepares reports and updates on project status and results for clients.
