Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a project coordination professional based in Plano, TX. You will learn to scope projects, plan investigations, and determine cost/time/sample requirements while supporting client communication and UL compliance processes.

Travel to client sites may be required. You will assist with test programs, data preparation, and status reporting, contributing to continuous improvement and adherence to UL code of conduct.

Qualifications

• Some University education in a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Learns how to determine project scope, develop a preliminary plan of investigation, and determine project specifications such as cost, time, and sample requirements.
• Assists in analyzing client input, available supplemental data, and product construction.
• Projects may include travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites.
• Communicates with clients to discuss technical issues, explain UL procedures and requirements, convey project cost, and negotiate completion date and sample requirements, as directed.
• Follows up on contacts from clients, as directed.
• Assists in addressing client concerns and resolving client issues.
• Provides technical assistance to clients in reference to product inspection and follow-up services.
• Assists in establishing appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturer's information, examining samples, and applying UL requirements.
• Notifies client of any areas in which the product is not in compliance with UL requirements or of any changes in project scope or specifications.
• Coordinates laboratory activities by assisting in preparation of data sheets and instructions to technicians.
• Coordinates administrative aspects of project management, as directed.
• May serve as Project Handler of record as assigned.
• Communicates project status and results to clients through frequent contact and by preparing reports.
• Assists in preparing Follow-Up Service Procedures and information pages.
• Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
• Assists in resolving engineering issues associated with Variation Notices.
• Learns to analyze and report on the acceptability of the variations.
• Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
• Performs other duties as directed.

Total Rewards:We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimatedsalary range for this position is $44,200 to $58,900 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors.This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
