Job summary

HDR in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Fire Protection Designer/EIT to join our employee-owned team. You will assist on fire protection components of projects under the guidance of a Senior Fire Protection Engineer, meet with clients, interpret data, and help ensure drawings are accurate and complete.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, plus a commitment to our employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with focus on fire protection or related discipline.
• Experience or understanding of fire protection design and life safety.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Assist on fire protection portions of projects under the direction of a Senior Fire Protection Engineer.
• Meet with clients and contractors to discuss project requirements.
• Interpret engineering data for designers and drafters and ensure design accuracy.
