Job summary

Atlantic Constructors seeks a dynamic Fire Protection Design Manager to supervise design and BIM for new sprinkler projects. You will drive adherence to NFPA codes, review hydraulic calculations, and coordinate material submittals and shop drawings.

The role requires coordinating with AHJs and field crews, ensuring profitability, and leading a design team within a Richmond/HQ setting. Relocation may be needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as a fire protection designer or supervisor
• Understanding of NFPA codes and local AHJ requirements
• Ability to interpret architect drawings and specs
• Proficient in CAD-based design and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Oversee design/BIM aspects for sprinkler projects
• Ensure compliance with NFPA codes and project specs
• Review hydraulic calculations and material submittals
• Coordinate shop drawings and permit processes
• Lead design team and monitor hours for profitability
