Job summary

Atlantic Constructors is seeking a Fire Protection Design Manager to supervise design/BIM for new construction sprinkler projects and to ensure NFPA compliance across drawings, calculations and material submittals.

The role requires coordinating with field teams, reviewing vendor invoices, and leading design personnel while maintaining schedule integrity. Travel to sites may be required as projects proceed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years as fire protection designer or equivalent
• Experience supervising/leading teams
• NICET II certification (not required)
• Strong NFPA/code knowledge and local jurisdiction understanding
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings/specifications
• Proficiency in Windows CAD tools and fire protection software
• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee project management for multiple sprinkler projects
• Review designs for NFPA/code compliance and project specs
• Check material submittals and hydraulic calculations for compliance
• Coordinate material procurement and delivery
• Supervise designers and ensure schedules are met
• Lead kickoff meetings and regular FP department meetings
• Support sales with bid takes and vendor invoice review
