Southland Industries seeks a Design Engineer II to help bring engineering designs to life on design-build and design-assist projects across healthcare, education, biotech, mission critical, commercial and entertainment markets. You will collaborate with model coordinators, estimators, and field staff to create practical, efficient designs using VDC and CFD feedback.

You will perform complex calculations, review codes, and provide guidance to engineers while ensuring compliance and project

Formación

• In-depth knowledge of HVAC and plumbing system design and operations.
• Ability to read mechanical and plumbing plans.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills including Revit, CADD, and Excel.
• Four-year engineering degree.
• 5 years experience.
• PE License preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs complex calculations including heating/cooling loads, equipment sizing, and friction loss.
• May manage a single project phase.
• Mentors junior engineers.
• Ensures code compliance.
• Reviews codes/criteria and field conditions to support design.
