Job summary

Constellis seeks a Fire Prevention Inspector to support the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant under the Fire Chief and Senior Fire Inspector. The role emphasizes conducting fire prevention visits, educating the public in fire safety, and assisting with plans reviews to ensure regulatory compliance.

Candidates must hold IFSAC/Pro Board Firefighter I & II and related certifications, EMT license, and FEMA training; strong communication, documentation, and basic computer skills are essential;

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements are IFSAC and/or Pro Board certification for: Firefighter I & II, HazMat Awareness & Operations, Fire Officer I, Fire Instructor I, Fire Inspector I & II.
• Current NREMT certification and Missouri EMT License are required.
• BLS (CPR w/AED) certification is required.
• FEMA IC 100, 200, 700, 800 certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of the fire prevention program under the Fire Chief and Senior Fire Inspector.
• Assist in developing standards for fire safety at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant (LCAAP).
• Develop, conduct, and evaluate public Fire and Life Safety Education programs.
• Perform fire prevention visits and risk management.
• Prepare written reports on fire prevention visits and related matters.
• Review plans for construction, installation, and operation to meet fire safety requirements.
• Communicate with Fire Chief and Fire Officers about prevention matters; report hazards to client Security Manager as required by SOW.
• Coordinate with department members and external personnel on Fire Prevention issues.
• Typically serve as Fire Officer on the second-due engine.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and be able to work in inclement weather.
