Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an Associate Fire Alarm Inspector to support inspection and maintenance activities, ensuring systems are tested, compliant, and coordinated with sales and project teams. The role emphasizes attention to detail and strong communication with clients and colleagues.

The ideal candidate will develop expertise in NFPA requirements, OSHA safety standards, and on-site procedures while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Interest in learning and growing in the fire-life safety industry.
Ability to obtain knowledge of NFPA code requirements.
Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and able to obtain OSHA 10 certifications.
Good organizational, decision‑making, and communication skills.
Be physically fit to perform the demanding work of the trade, including frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds, maximum occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; able to work from heights and climb ladders; standing and walking for most of the workday.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and with a sense of urgency
Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Assist with reviewing system layouts and coordinating with the systems and service departments for successful testing and inspection.
Assist with testing and maintaining fire alarm systems.
Assist with delivering testing on schedule and within cost budgets.
Responsible for logging and transmitting inspection reports via technical device.
Work under tight deadlines.
Comply with standards and procedures of industry and Sciens safety programs/policies.
