Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Service Technician in Massachusetts. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and programming life safety systems to ensure optimal performance and client satisfaction.

You will work with the service team and clients, producing repair reports and maintaining circuit integrity while adhering to NFPA standards. The position requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to train other technicians.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years experience in a repair or systems technician role within Fire Life and Safety.
• Knowledge of current fire alarm systems, including smoke control, GUIs, and networked solutions.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Fire Alarm circuit integrity and troubleshooting.
• Ability to program and repair fire alarm systems using a laptop computer.
• Knowledgeable of NFPA 72 code requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing Fire and Life Safety systems, including conventional, addressable, voice systems, complex smoke control, and networked solutions.
• Use troubleshooting tools to analyze systems and detect fault conditions.
• Ensure maximum system detection and alarm coverage when repairing.
• Produce repair reports in accordance with NFPA for customer acceptance and billing.
• Programming systems via laptop computers.
• Ensure Fire Alarm circuit integrity.
• Assist in managing vehicle inventory and repair tools.
• Provide support, guidance, and expertise to other technicians.
