Job summary

Johnson Controls in Oregon is seeking a Service Technician to service and repair electronic fire alarm systems and related building systems at customer sites. You will diagnose issues, provide solutions, and maintain high service standards.

You will read blueprints, install systems, follow troubleshooting procedures, train others, and participate in on-call rotations. A valid driver's license, ability to lift 50-70 lbs, and flexible hours including weekends are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in low voltage electrical systems including Fire/Life Safety, Access Control, Nurse Call and Paging systems
• Knowledge of reading blueprints and submittals

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls from Service Resource Center and diagnose equipment/system problems
• Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and related building systems at customer sites
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems and manuals
• Follow troubleshooting procedures and repair equipment
• Exhibit strong customer service and communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding via mobile devices
• Participate in scheduled On-call rotation
• Provide recommendations to improve facility efficiency and upsell solutions
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Train or mentor other team members
