Job summary

ISS Facility Services - North America is seeking a Fire & Life Safety Specialist to support a 24/7 Data Center operations team. You will manage alarms, perform troubleshooting on Notifier and Potter systems, and coordinate PMs and repairs with contractors.

The role requires at least 4 years of Fire/Life Safety experience, NFPA certification, and proficiency with MS Office. This on-site position supports a complex facility with shift work and emergency coverage.

Qualifications

NFPA Fire/ Life Safety Specialist certification is required.
Experience with Notifier and Potter Fire systems.
Minimum of 4 years’ Fire/ Life Safety experience (Device & Sprinkler).
Able to respond to equipment alarms and troubleshoot systems.
Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word & Excel).
Able to read and interpret general business literature, regulations.
Able to read MEP prints and equipment schematics.
Able to communicate effectively with management and clients.
Able to use hand tools, test equipment and maintenance shop practices.

Responsibilities

Assist the Chief Engineer to complete tasks in the O&M program for the Data Center and other spaces.
Follow building operation rules for the client’s building(s) and use SOPs/MOPs/MMRs.
Use CMMS to track work and ensure PMs are scheduled and completed.
Coordinate fire sprinkler system maintenance and repairs; fire device and monitoring systems; AED devices and first aid kits.
Coordinate fire safety contractors and ensure safe access for vendors.
