Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Life Safety Sales Executive to prospect and develop new customers, upsell services, and price inspection contracts. You will work with Regional Sales Manager, Service Manager, and Operations staff to ensure customer satisfaction and growth within the service department.

The role focuses on building a strong pipeline, using pricing tools, and representing the company at industry events, with up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years sales or fire protection industry experience
• 2 years reading electronic blueprints, and experience with SalesForce, preferred
• 2 years operating a computer, Microsoft Office, required
• Must be able to effectively read, write and communicate in English with employees, customers and board or directors.

Responsibilities

• Pro-actively engage in making sales calls to new prospective customers to build the Inspection and Service business
• Pro-actively engage in making sales calls to current customers to build the Inspection and Service business (upsell)
• Remain informed of all conversion opportunities by turning construction installation customers into service customers
• Create and maintain a sufficient pipeline of activity to meet sales goals
• Manage all sales activity within assigned Salesforce account and monitor proposals outstanding
• Follow up on all pending proposals to explain scope and accelerate award
• Understand pricing approach to inspection sales using Excel or estimating tools
• Represent the organization at industry meetings and customer visits
• Remain abreast of market opportunities through sales calls and market information
• Assist Service Manager with potential re-signs of existing customers
• Advance industry knowledge through training and field rides
• Work with Branch Manager, Regional Sales Manager, and Service Manager to assess relationships and profitability
• Other duties may be assigned
