Job summary

NANA Worley, LLC is seeking an experienced design engineer for the Fire & Gas discipline based at our Anchorage, AK HQ. The role focuses on producing compliant fire and gas designs, developing technical drawings, and coordinating with clients and field teams.

Expertise in AutoCAD and related documentation is essential, with offshore oil & gas exposure highly valued. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of five years design experience, familiarity with IBC/IFC and national fire codes, and

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of five (5) years design experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with IBC, IFC and national fire codes is required.
• Technical skills in electrical, instrumentation, automation, and fire and gas systems.
• Documentum, EDDI and SAP experience is preferred.
• Oil and Gas experience in Louisiana sector, offshore hydrocarbon platform work, with Pyrotronics/Det-Tronics/Honeywell training is a plus.
• Proficient with AutoCAD 12/13/14; field experience in Fire & Gas is required.

Responsibilities

• Produces fire and gas designs conforming to codes and specifications.
• Prepares or directs reports, specifications, and construction schedules.
• Ensures packages meet client expectations and interfaces with client and construction personnel.
• Performs design work for packages issued by Fire and Gas Business unit.
• Operates AutoCAD systems and uses computer-aided design software for design tasks.
• Develops design packages including scope of work, estimates, lay out, wiring diagrams and cost estimates.
• Maintains project issue resolution log and updates monthly status reports.
• Develops conceptual work scope and creates drawings through IFC; coordinates as-built activities.
